Opel is expanding successful Astra family with sporty and stylish sedan model. This superior and outstanding sedan will attract the mid-size segment customers with the power of Astra, advanced technology, and quality which is known in Europe. Opel’s the most successful family is being completed with New Sedan, five-door hatchback, Sports Tourer ve GTC Coupé body types.
New Astra, which will be started to be sold in fourth quarter of 2012, has four types of engine: These types starts from 84kW/115HP to 132kW/180 HP gasoline engine which you can choose automatic or manual gearbox and 70kW/95 HP diesel engine. Addition to these, New Sedan’s will have impressive and powerful engine with 1.6L volume, turbocharge, spark ignition and direct injection, gasoline SIDI ECOTEC engines next year.
New Astra Sedan’s (Length / Width / Height: 4658/1814/1476 mm) wheelbase is 2685 mm and it has a very generous interior space. Luggage area is 90 liters more than hatchback model, it is 460 liters. With 60:40 folding rear seats, you can increase luggage volume up to 1010 liters.

Sporty And Stylish Design is Combining with Balanced Ratios
Opel design team, gave outstanding and stylish image to New Astra Sedan. Roof line gently curls into the passenger compartment. Then, making a smooth slope with deep profile slide over the rear window, it ends on the spoiler integrated into the trunk. Because it extends to trunk, Sloping C-pillars conceals the size of the trunk with a visual elegance.
Characteristic side line which also incorporates door handles stands out in back design and it creates shoulder effect in C-pillars and back part’s sub-base.
Back design is liven up with back window with a deep profile, spoiler integrated to tailgate and custom shaped bumper. Design of the back lights reminds other Astra versions’ design and the thin line which connects the lights adds width and helps to make a perfect rear view. Additionally, lights reflects the characteristic wing-shaped design of Opel. Plate recess sculptural features which reflect the shape of the tailgate folds is also seen in rear bumper. All these elements come together and create a balanced and harmonious design and give the shape of New Astra Sedan.
